Danburys last of the season away against Upland Rangers, Danbury were back to full strength today and needed a win to secure 3rd place in the league.

In the first half Danbury had the wealth of possession and from the early stages looked more likely to score - after 3 fine saves from the Uplands keeper - Danbury were to get their reward and fired in two goals one in the 15th minute ( Anthony ) and one in the 23rd ( Luke )

Some excellent gritty performances throughout the pitch Angus and Josh  running back and winning back the ball when needed - Jay providing some well timed tackles, Benjamin and Luke both refusing  to be pushed off the ball by the bigger built lads of the opposition!

In added time of the first half Uplands against the run of play scored a well taken goal of their own making the half time score ....

The second carried on the same as the first with Danbury creating the most chances one chance imparticular saw Anthony cross a fast paced ball right across the face of the Uplands goal to Luke who would have converted it 99% of the time but was unlucky not to connect.

On the odd ocassion the Danbury goalkeeper Chris was called upon he was saving the ball with confidence but even he was unable to stop the Upland Rangers late equaliser - As a long ball from the Uplands keeper bounced over the Danbury Defense... The Lone Uplands Striker running through appeared to bring the ball down to feet with his hand and quickly fired the ball beyond Chris into the back of the net.

Final score 2 -2 

All in all a great game and a great performance from all the boys today!!! 

Very unlucky not to take away three points today!!!

The Team never the less managed to hold onto the third place slot in what was another very good season ..Congrats Sarah!!!!
